Ginko

Gmail, without the browser. A native Mac app for reading and triaging Gmail, built with Swift and SwiftUI.

What it does

Your Gmail, natively. Threads, labels, search with Gmail's own syntax, HTML and plain text mail, attachments, drafts.
Keyboard first. Move with J and K, archive with A, delete with ⌫, star with S, reply with R. Work through the Inbox one conversation at a time.
Local first. Mail you have opened is kept on your Mac, so the Inbox opens instantly and saved mail can be read offline.
Private. Ginko talks only to Google. There is no Ginko server, no analytics and no tracking.
Read aloud. Press V to hear a message in Slovak, Czech, English or German, using the voices built into macOS.

Getting Ginko

Ginko is a personal project. Builds are shared on request: open the disk image, drag Ginko to Applications and sign in with Google. Nothing else to set up.

Privacy

Ginko reads and changes your mail only to show it and act on it in the app, on your Mac. Read the privacy policy.
